Abstract

This partial research report on modular didactics presents the observation results based on the qualitative paradigm. Classroom work was observed focussing on five staff members belonging to the three academic divisions (Biological, Social Sciences and Arts) in Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco, Mexico. Three aspects are considered: modular pedagogic strategies, search and dialog with information, and, team and groupal work; data is interpreted trough a specific conceptual construction and are linked with student´s own expressions doing the sessions. It is a first qualitative research approach to classroom teaching within the modular system. The results illustrated the modular teaching practice.
