Reflexiones sobre algunas acciones de internacionalización de la educación en la UAM-Xochimilco

Abstract

Speedy changes in the present societies are being faced by Higher Education, plus the older problems as the low access for the young people to this educative level, the increasing and unsatisfied demand, the inequality and so on. We are now into the globalization that is carrying up us to the internationalization in the educative field. If the internationalization process as well as the very rapid improvement of science and technology are not taken into account by the Higher Education Institutions they should become unable to accomplish their aims, with bad consequences to the creation of a feasible future society. In this work the author does not analyze the complexity of those social changes. He only describes some actions of internationalization carried out in the context of the educative model of uam-Xochimilco. These experiences are connected with the action or knowledge of the author and participate of the innovative character of that Mexican University.
