Experiencia de porfesores investigadores de la UAM-X y de la UNAM, en México

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to report experiences relating to one of the most important applications of Information and Communication Technologies (ITC) to non-presencial research, namely virtual collaboration and its use in research and teaching in universities. unesco has stated that the production of knowledge in networks opens up new possibilities for the creation of powerful management and knowledge systems both in scientific and government institutions. This article describes the background and importance of Virtual Collaboration (VC), and some of its applications to science and social sciences. To conclude, a joint experience in this area between groups of researchers at the Mexican universities UAM-X and UNAM is recounted.
