Abstract

The Autonomous Metropolitan University is taking measures to improve the quality of teaching in Legal Studies by means of a program called Reflexión sobre Docencia [Thoughts on Teaching]. The aim of this article is to support and augment these efforts, increasing the competitivity of our graduates. As a thought experiment, we substitute Law for Mathematics. The relationship between the two disciplinesb —first proposed by the Greek philosophers— is evident in the correspondence between abstractions expressed as words or as numbers.
