El discurso pedagógico de Paulo Freire en el proyecto de la UAM-Xochimilco

The aim of this essay is to analyse the way in wich the Modular System was founded in the UAM-Xochimilco between 1974 and 1976. The influence of Freire was crucial in its initial stages. Key concepts were: culture as category of criticism, the problem as a point of focus, the criticism of the "bank account" concept of learning, consciousnes-raising, the dialogically horizontal perspective and the concept of liberation. Another objetive of the article is to analyse the way in wich the discourse of Freire became integrated into this alternative model of education and the impact it still has on it.
