Abstract

In cognitive psychology, learning is defined as changes in the intellectual structure of an individual. Piaget described the processes of assimilation and accommodation, using them to explain how a person is able to modify conceptual structures and thus learn. The development of new communication and interaction technologies necessitate a redefinition of these processes. This article describes an approach to the problem of learning through computers from a cognitive perspective.
