Abstract

This paper describes the two stages followed in the production of educative material to be used through personal computers in college courses. At the first stage we produced non interactive and interactive tutorial systems, specially for Mathematic and computing topics; its use by the students of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Xochimilco, was validated when we aplied them under controlled conditions. At this time, we continue the production of tutorial systems, but adapting to presents conditions we are beginning the prduction of multimedia material, both to support teaching and to experiment with the didactic possibilities (amog others interactivity and branching, dinamic text sequences, simultaneouss presentation of text and voice, hipertext links with online dictionaries, the possibility to access articles and bibliographical selections to expand themes through the use of special icons) which impact will also be evaluated under controlled conditions.
