Independent Alternative Cultural Spaces (IACS) deal with a great variety of different types of information, necessitating proper Information Management (IM). This paper proposes a basis for designing an IM system assisted by ITC (information and communication technologies) for cultural management at the Circo Volador (Flying Circus), a cultural center whose scope ranges from traditional to emerging manifestations of culture. The system will enable activities and events held by the cultural center to be properly recorded, processed and managed. The resulting information will be publicized on the center’s website, making it available to a greater audience. In addition, the system will help the website to be a virtual space for communicating, promoting and publicizing the center’s artistic activities.
