Abstract

As a result of the revolutionary movement in Mexico, the principles of universality, the public character and the State as the responsible for educating people were strenghted. There are two main moments in the definition of the present model for physic education, both of them had solid cultural and theoretical fundaments. The first one was developped in the 1920’s, while Jose Vasconcelos held the Ministry of Education and the second one was incorporated in the 1930’s and it concerns to the socialist education dering Lázaro Cárdenas as President of Mexico.
