Tuning-América Latina y su compatibilidad con el modelo curricular cubano

The aiming of the Tuning project for Latin America is to go forward in developing academic diploma to be compared and recognized by the region countries. The main point of reference are centered in the competences. Tuning defined competences as follows: “Those skills that every one needs to solve efficiently by himself the situations of life. Their basis is a profound knowledge. One needs not only what and how to know, but needs also to know to be a person in a complex, changing and competitive world”. How the general competences pointed out by the Tuning Project are compatible with the purpose of the integral development of professionals proposed by the cuban curricular model is the aim of this work. The professional studies of chemestry and the development of the habilities and skills of this profession, within the curricular activities, is the point of comparison.
