The purpose of the handwork described next was to develop a teaching evaluation system based in the characteristics of the teaching context. It was designed as a collective study of cases and it was made in a public investigation and superior education institution. It worked with ten collegiate organs and with key informants. The investigation consisted in four stages: 1) Diagnostic of the teaching context and analysis of the educative practices. 2) Delimitation of the characteristics of the evaluation system of the teaching practice. 3) Design of the questionnaires of teaching evaluation by students. 4) Implementation of the system. The results show the need of considering the particularities of the context in the design of teaching evaluation systems.
