Abstract

The manager of an information system has identified sources and collected an important data volume. His task consists of organizing the data in an intelligible way, Bibliometry is one of the analysis models which would help him solve the problem. In this work the authors examine bibliometric methods and tools. Different uses of indicators such as the ones used to evaluate research and development programs, technological innovation behaviour and a firm's ability, or to assess a market's structure and movement, among others, are discussed here.
