La experiencia UACM-PAPO Cuauhtepec

Abstract

This paper has the intention to expose a singular experience of university extension in Mexico City. The presence of the Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México in the north part of the city has generated, in just a short time, a dynamic relation with the community where it is located. The established bond contributed to the accomplishment of a project of communitarian investigation of rescue of the historical memory of the town of Cuauhtepec whose result has exceeded the inicial expectations. The publication of the work has had an ample reception and has promoted the beginning of other projects and the visibility of some more. This situation has harnessed the relation between the University and the community and has positioned to the institution in the local context.
