Abstract

The phenomenon of appropiation of technology is identified as a cultural process by which the knowledge acquired from people with visual disability (PcDV) supports their educational and professional development as well as lead to their to a transformation on a personal level denoting a different way to perceive disability in the social dimension. Conceptually, to know, to use and to create are the criteria by which literacy, interacts and produces the resources for generating technological competencies in the PcDV, allowing work in terms of creating social spaces for the insertion of persons to the productive process.
