Abstract

This essay is a reflection about the general meaning of university in our time. Autonomy can be defined as the center of university’s life if we understand it as university’s ethos. The relation between university’s interior and exterior is designed to affirm critical thinking, freedom of thought and the community’s net, its polis. It is stated here that university’s nature is defined by the place it has in the cultural formation, by its ends.
