Why discuss radio? Why might we still take this eighty-some year old medium into account in the midst of the digital revolution? What place does the radio have in universities in today’s modern computerized society? There are various reasons why. One reason is that even today, we cannot ignore the fact that in our country, the coverage and penetration of radio continue to be high. Operating a radio transmitter is a way that universities and other educational institutions can build and reinforce their links with society.
