Van Rensselaer Potter, pionero de la ética global

Abstract

We are not related with the world that we live now. We need new values and a new spirit to preserve the resources and all forms of life not just human life. The growth of population, the colonization of natural environments and the exploitation of natural resources are leading to an endangered planet. It is why I decided to introduce two books of Van Rensselaer Potter to those not familiarized with his concepts of “bioethics and global ethics” in order to motivate its reading and the will to change towards a new individual behavior and a new society. Universities must play an important role in promoting a change in attitude in individuals and institutions.
