El papel de la Universidad en la divulgación de la cultura

Abstract

Public universities in Mexico have lost their place as protagonists in Mexican culture. This place must be recovered, for although the country's educational system has great problems, it is not too late, nor is all lost. We can reclaim the role traditionally played by the university, but to do so, we must work one step at a time, building a solid foundation and working with the resources closest to us. The universities' commitment to society is unquestionable. As a product of society, universities must turn towards it, bringing together its concerns and problems, its advances and its setbacks. The continuous reinforcement and promotion of cultural dissemination is a fundamental task in this regard.
